Okay…I give up! You found me…again!
For about six weeks now, I’ve enjoyed blogging without certain people lurking within the realms of my cyber world. While I enjoy having people stop by and joining in the fun, some people were visiting literally for months without ever making themselves known. Eventually, I started to probe a bit into the identity of my regular visitors as I much prefer to know who is choosing to share in my day to day life. Not only did this reveal nothing but, it actually caused some of them to start using proxy servers in order to keep themselves even more anonymous.
That annoyed me!
These visitors have no reason to believe that their presence wouldn’t be welcome however, going out of your way to make your identity unknown gives me every reason to believe that I likely don’t want them lurking around my site. Hence, I changed my site address.
Low and behold though…I’ve been tracked down again! And all at the same time none the less. Just this week, my visitor from Calgary, my visitor using some “internet for everyone” server and of course, the infamous “proxy lord” guest has re-appeared. Grrrr…
I have reason to believe that our “former” visitor from Bermuda is now our “new” visitor on proxy lord. One disappeared while the other suddenly appeared. Coincidence?? I do think it’s worth noting though that our visitor from Bermuda highly underestimated our cyber savvy abilities because we managed to figure out that they work at a law firm in Bermuda. We actually know which one too but, I’ll be so kind as to not mention it here.
Anyways, you win! Have your way with me if you must but, I certainly hope that you are proud of yourself for invading my cyber world once again!
I have to say though…I’m surprised that you think my life is so interesting that you would go to such lengths to follow along…
In that sense, I’ll take your lurking as a subtle compliment.

Oh my! I am from Calgary and just found you this week (last week?), but don't know anything about proxys and have never even been to Bermuda! Honestly, I just found you because when I was setting up my blog and put interests as "nieces and nephews", I thought it would be fun to see what other people were like that put that down as an interest too.
And I would have been guilty of being 'anonymous' forever...but only because I'm shy/private and myself struggle with people 'invading' my world. Honestly, that's why my blog doesn't say much. I haven't even told anyone I have it. Silly, hey? I even lost it for a while b/c I set it up but never put anything there. Your blog convicted me and has brought me out of the woodwork into the light. (oh no, my eyes, my eyes...)
I have kept reading because frankly, you challenge me. You are from a different part of Canada (love the snow pics btw) and have just went through the parts of life I am entering now (will soon be engaged / married / moving / eventually new house etc). It's kind of nice to see how other people are handling their new world to help me handle mine. If you would rather I didn't I'm happy to wish you well and leave you in peace with NO hard feelings. I hope I didn't do some booboo, but frankly I just don't know what proper blog etiquette is!
I await your desire, and wish you a happier day - I hope I'm the Calgary proxy thing so it's not your Bermuda stalker. And honestly, don't we all find other people's lives more interesting than our own sometimes? The word lurking creeps me out (and lurking creeps you out) but it really is a compliment. You are the only one of the profiles that came up with that interest that I felt a kinship with. You take it well if taken as a compliment. :O)
Melanie!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello and WELCOME!!! Thank you so much for commenting…I’m so thrilled to meet you!
Believe it or not…there was someone else from Calgary for months and months that would come by…however, they were not proxy users at all…just someone that I was curious about!
Thank you for your kind words about my blog and please please please feel free to join in the conversation anytime you like…I’m very flattered that you’ve reached out and hope that you will stick around!
If only we can get our Bermuda friend to join in too ;)
Thanks again Melanie and fear not, new friends are always welcome!!
That is seriously creepy, Gen. Send me a message on Facebook and let me know what software you're using - i wouldn't mind being able to keep tabs on who's reading my blog. :D
Hang in there! Winter's almost over, and chances are good that by the time you're back in the northern hemisphere, the cold will be nothing but an unpleasant memory.
Have a safe trip!
